Printmaking can be a slow and contemplative way of working.  There is always an element of surprise and, even in an edition from the same plate, each print is unique.  Nothing can be taken for granted.

I work mostly in intaglio (etching and collagraph) and relief (lino and woodcut) but also in monoprint. I enjoy using combinations of two or more processes, using multiple plates for one image.

I draw inspiration from my immediate surroundings, especially my garden, the local Herefordshire landscape and further afield.  I am fascinated by the ever-changing light and the patterns it makes.
